简　　介

　　安全专家托马斯·杰克曼（阿德连·保罗 Adrian Paul 饰）受命前往撒哈拉沙漠腹地的阿夫特拉山钻探区。这里曾是一个天然气开采站，之后废弃并被多国研究人员接手进行地下勘探与科研工作，旨在寻找新的嗜热生命体。不久前，一场强劲的沙尘暴席卷此地，钻探站随即与外界失去联系。托马斯来到这里，发现25名工作人员全部失踪，墙上留有用血液写就的阿拉伯文。他仔细翻阅研究人员们留下的资料，却始终一无所获。正当他的工作陷入困境时，自称小组研究员的詹妮·克里斯迪亚森（凯特·诺塔 Kate Nauta 饰）突然出现。从詹妮的口中得知，研究小组的成员早已相继离奇死亡……
