制造这场混乱的幕后黑手就是托马斯·加布里埃尔（蒂莫西·奥利芬特饰），他为约翰准备了一大堆机关障碍，包括绑架他的女儿露西，目的只有一个，就是避免这个警察插手自己一手策划的惊天大计划，计算机网络软件都是约翰的死穴，虽然不至于一窍不通，也八九不离十了，好在虽然一路连滚带爬，约翰却没忘记自己的任务，将马特牢牢地带在自己身边，于是这位年轻的黑客小伙子，就成了这一次约翰身边最得力的帮手。
